The forest and dunes are about 400 metres from Carpe Diem. In this area of 1800 hectares, which stretches out from the dike of Camperduin till the village Bergen aan Zee, 10 kilometres further. In this area you can walk or bike to your hearts content. What you certainly must have seen is "de Kerf". This is an artificially created interruption of the dunes, where at stormy days the sea can overflow the land.
